tenrecs swim! tenrecs major predator is the ring tailed mongoose! hedgehog tenrecs have
prickly spines on them like a hedgehog! mole-like rice tenrecs live underground! streaked tenrecs have little quills on them that make a sound to call their family!
I had to look up tenrec species. They are very unusual creatures and, depending on which tenrec we are looking at, might resemble various other animals, including possums, hedgehogs and, as you mentioned, shrews.
